Nord walking

Alto Garda offers 100km of Nordic walking routes.  There are 13 well-marked routes, 3 of which start from Arco. Each route has a different difficulty level.
Hotel Olivo has an in-house Nordic walking instructor resource trained at the Nordic walking instructors’ school.
This allows us to help you improve your fitness and your general state of well-being by guiding you through enchanting landscapes.

Climbing

The town of Arco's love of climbing can be well understood by the many climbing routes in the Alto Garda area. There are many walls to test yourself on and with widely varying degrees of difficulty. Every year Arco hosts the RockMaster Festival. Climbers from all over the world compete for 10 days on the artificial walls of Arco's Climbing Stadium.
Climbing on Lake Garda is truly a sport for everyone.
A perfect place for children and families is the Falesia Family San Martino with all the equipped walls. Another popular crag, for both experts and beginners, is the Falesia Policromuro in Massone. For beautiful and challenging climbing there are also routes on Mount Colodri.

Trekking and hiking

There are many different routes on the Trentino side of Lake Garda for trekking or even a relaxing and peaceful walk.
A beautiful destination to reach, with a fairly challenging route, is Mount Stivo. When you reach the summit, the view is breathtaking. On days when the sky is clear, you see as far as Sirmione.
A quiet walk, on the other hand, is the one that takes you into the Laghel Valley. To get there you also cross the beautiful olive grove of Arco.
Or you can climb up to the remains of Arco Castle. On the way back visit the arboretum created by Archduke Albert, who had brought plants there from all over the Mediterranean. Arco's particularly mild climate also allowed banana trees to grow there.

Cycling routes

We experience the excitement of exploring Garda by bike every day. It seems natural to get on the saddle and go! Walk along the spectacular Ponale road and reach Valle di Ledro. It is an almost completely unpaved route except for some asphalted sections along the way. It arrives as far as Lake Ampola among secondary roads and stretches along a cycle path.
By racing bike you can also reach Lake Tenno and the beautiful medieval village of Canale di Tenno.

Cycling routes

If you love adrenaline-filled sports, a stay at Hotel Olivo will not disappoint you.
At Mount Brento it is, in fact, possible to do Base Jump, the discipline by which one jumps into the void, such as from a relief or a building, landing in a parachute.  Mount Brento, in the Sarca Valley, is in fact one of the most famous places in the world for this sport. On Mount Baldo, on the other hand, tandem paragliding is possible. Follow the rapids with canyoning: you can dive, slide and swim following the waterways between the rocks. Or try the fusion of canoeing and surfing, called bellyak, with which you will go down courses and rapids on a board.
